Heart Health is a Priority at Pardee UNC Health Care

As Western North Carolina continues to grow, so does the region’s changing health care needs. Our goal is to grow and change with our community so that we are the resource for outstanding care that our community deserves and expects. Heart disease is the number one cause of death in the U.S., and it is essential that Pardee UNC Health Care provide quality treatment for what has become a systemic health risk for those near our doors and afar.

Life Saving Care for Heart Attacks, Near Home

In matters of the heart, every second counts. Did you know that many heart attacks can be treated with interventional cardiology procedures, and do not require open-heart surgery? Because Pardee UNC Health Care now offers interventional cardiology, many Henderson, Polk, Transylvania, and Rutherford County residents can be transported to and treated at a hospital much closer to home. We believe that this can mean better outcomes and healthier patients.

Personalized Cardiac Care Using Advanced Technology

Since no two people are alike, we treat each patient with a personalized approach while using advanced technology to diagnose and treat the full spectrum of heart and vascular conditions. At Pardee UNC Health Care, we believe in taking the least invasive road to recovery possible in order to minimize risk, downtime, and discomfort. This philosophy is the driving force behind the care that we strive to provide each and every patient.

Pardee has implemented a new type of laboratory test to check a certain enzyme in a patient's blood for those experiencing symptoms of chest pain. This test, called High Sensitivity Troponin-I, is more sensitive than previous testing available and also provides test results more quickly. Pardee is proud to be one of the first in the UNC system to take this progressive step to enhance patient care.

Your Heart Hospital: The Happy with Pardee Advantage

At Pardee UNC Health Care, you will find a multitude of comprehensive heart and vascular services to ensure that you get the best possible results, from diagnostic testing and minimally invasive procedures, to vascular emergency surgery.
