About the Clinic

UNC Health Pardee has developed a new clinic to ensure quality patient outcomes for surgical patients. Previously known as Pre-Anesthesia Testing (PAT), this clinic has been developed to expand services for optimizing the surgical patient's journey.

Services include pre-surgical physical assessments, labs, EKGs, and patient education.

Our Goal

Our goal is to ease patients’ stress and anxiety and address any issues early with a streamlined process during their surgical journey. This clinic is designed to stabilize current medical conditions prior to surgery, provide education, and communicate throughout the pre-surgical process.

This clinic is led by Dr. Gregory McCarty, UNC Health Pardee’s Chief Medical Officer, as medical director and supported by Carrie Vance, FNP-C, MSN and a team of experienced pre-surgical clinical staff.

Referrals

A referral from a surgeon’s office is required.
