Why did you choose to work in health care?

While working as a medic for the U.S. Army, I was exposed to many aspects of the medical field and I was drawn to becoming a physician assistant. I enjoy the flexibility to practice medicine in different environments and specialties.

What brought you to western North Carolina? 

I started at Pardee immediately after finishing physician assistant school on September 1, 2015. My wife and I chose to move to Western NC without ever visiting or having any family or friends here. I just happened to move here during Apple Festival, which was an awesome way to be introduced to Hendersonville.

What do you enjoy most about working at Pardee?

Pardee focuses on keeping our community healthy and I enjoy being part of that. I particularly enjoy being a part of the Pardee BlueMD team in Laurel Park. We have a unique group of caring, hardworking, and experienced team members that make every day enjoyable.

What is an interesting fact about yourself?

My background as a foster parent allows me to be a more caring provider. There is some overlap of the skill sets required for parenting and counseling patients on a healthy lifestyle.
