Why did you choose to work in health care?

My job sort of found me. As a kid right out of high school, I thought I wanted to be a Physical Therapist. I had a friend whose mom was a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and she told me about her job. I became interested and applied to RT school.

While in RT school, I had the chance to rotate through radiation therapy and loved it. I enjoy that I have the chance to meet, help, and develop relationships with such wonderful people on their cancer journey. 

What does a typical workday look like for you?

I get the opportunity to meet and treat 25-35 patients a day. I enjoy that I have a chance to meet, help, and develop relationships with such wonderful people on their cancer journey. We work together in trying to cure their cancer with doses of ionizing radiation. If we can’t cure them, then we help to reduce their pain.

What do you enjoy most about working at Pardee?

I enjoy meeting and serving the people in this community. Pardee never stops trying to meet the healthcare needs in Hendersonville and the surrounding area. I also get to work with an amazing group of co-workers.

What is an interesting fact about yourself?

I’ve always wished I could fly…either as a superpower or as a pilot.
