Why did you choose to work in health care?

I chose to work in healthcare because I want to be able to help my community. I also wanted to learn and appreciate more about the healthcare setting. And, I want to be able to help our Hispanic community.

What does a typical workday look like for you?

My typical day involves bringing patients to the room, getting their vital signs, assisting with exams and procedures, doing blood draws, and performing urine tests. I answer phone calls and make appointments as well. 

I also assist our Hispanic patients and their families with translation during check-in and check-out.

What do you enjoy most about working at Pardee?

Working at Pardee OB/GYN Associates, I enjoy seeing first-time moms through their pregnancies. It brings me joy when they bring their baby in for a visit…that’s a very happy moment for me.

What is a surprising fact about yourself? 

I also work as a CNA at Carolina Village assisting an elderly population, and this really contrasts with my job with expectant moms at Pardee. Working with newborns as well as older patients near the end of their life…it’s very interesting to me.
