Mary Beth Dallman, MEd/HR
Staff Development Educator
Happy with Pardee since 2007
Where are you from?
Why did you choose to work in health care?
We often think of health care as being patient care only. I chose to work in health care because being in a support role for such a large and diverse work group was intriguing to me. It was certainly a growth opportunity. Supporting 1,500 team members is a big, yet rewarding, undertaking.
What does a typical workday look like for you?
Investing in our leaders and team members is so important. In my role as Staff Development Educator, I strive to maintain the foundation of a transparent, supportive, and encouraging work environment. Depending on the day, you might catch me onboarding new team members, rounding on staff meetings to hear about team “glows” and “grows,” or engaging with groups to work through tips, tricks and fixes to maintain service excellence.
What do you enjoy most about working at Pardee?
I enjoy the people. You will often hear me say that you're a name and not a number at Pardee. After 12 years, with all the growth and change Pardee has had, the culture of ownership has stayed the same.
What is a surprising fact about yourself?
I play the ukulele. Music is my therapy. My best childhood memories were playing the piano with my Nana, and that is when I discovered that I can play by ear.
