Where are you from?
Brevard, NC
Why did you choose to work in health care?
From a young age, I knew I wanted to help others, which is why I studied teaching. However, when I graduated with a bachelor degree in education, I realized the demand for teachers in the area was scarce. Having family who worked in health care, I realized this was another path in which I could help people.
What does a typical workday look like for you?
A typical workday without holiday call or afternoon call would be 6:30 a.m. - 3:15 a.m. We start cases at 7:30 a.m. and work until our room is finished. We get a 30-minute lunch break. If we are on call I could be here until 5 or 7 p.m.
What do you enjoy most about working at Pardee?
Pardee is a once in a lifetime job opportunity. At Pardee, you have the privilege of working on all sorts of cases. Pardee has always felt like family. It’s a place where we work as a team; we all step in and help each other when needed.
What is a surprising fact about yourself?
I have a soft side.
