Cardiology - Interventional

Position Overview:

UNC Health Pardee is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist to join a high-performing, growth-oriented cardiology program in the mountains of Western North Carolina. This role offers the opportunity to practice high-acuity interventional cardiology supported by advanced technology, strong procedural volumes, and a large, established referral base.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform a full scope of interventional cardiology procedures, including angioplasty, stenting, TEE, Cardioversion, ILR implantation, and other catheter-based interventions
  • Call is currently shared on a 1: basis with periodic 1:4 coverage. This is expected to evolve as additional interventional cardiologist join the practice.
  • Provide inpatient hospital rounds and consultations for interventional and general cardiology in addition to outpatient clinic care
  • Direct administration and management of STEMI patients. Non-STEMI cardiology involvement is limited to consultation only.
  • Perform permanent pacemaker procedures (preferred)
  • Collaborate closely with cardiology colleagues, hospitalists, and care teams to ensure seamless, high-quality care
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies

Qualifications

Medical Director, Outpatient Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center

UNC Health Pardee is seeking a Medical Director for its outpatient Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center in Hendersonville, North Carolina. This physician leader will provide clinical oversight for the program, support quality and patient safety initiatives, collaborate with hospital and referring providers, and supervise an advanced practice provider (APP) practicing within the center. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in advanced outpatient wound care, a commitment to evidence-based, multidisciplinary care, and interest or experience in hyperbaric medicine. Hyperbaric training will be provided for the selected candidate if needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide physician leadership for the outpatient wound care and hyperbaric medicine program.
  • Oversee clinical quality, patient safety, and evidence-based standards of care for acute and chronic wound management.
  • Supervise and collaborate with the APP within the center, supporting clinical practice, documentation standards, and care coordination.
  • Evaluate and treat patients with complex wounds and support development of individualized treatment plans.

Provide same-day, acute care services to patients presenting with episodic medical needs in a busy family medicine clinic located in Brevard, NC. This role is designed to support primary care providers by managing walk-in and same-day appointments, improving patient access, and optimizing clinic flow and does not maintain an independent patient panel and works collaboratively with providers in the clinic.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and episodic conditions in patients of all ages presenting for same-day or walk-in care

Position Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) provides comprehensive medical evaluation and management for adolescents admitted to the inpatient psychiatric unit (ages 13–17). The APP conducts admission history and physical examinations, manages acute and chronic medical conditions within scope of practice, and collaborates closely with psychiatry, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, trauma-informed, and developmentally appropriate care.

This role requires clinical expertise in adolescent medicine and familiarity with behavioral health populations. The APP serves as the primary medical provider for non-psychiatric medical needs during psychiatric hospitalization.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care

  • Perform comprehensive admission history and physical examinations for all adolescent psychiatric admissions.
  • Evaluate and manage acute and chronic medical conditions within scope of practice.

  • Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests and laboratory studies within scope of practice.

Primary Responsibilities
