Patients scheduled for a total knee or hip replacement surgery learn how to prepare for a joint replacement, day of surgery expectations, learn about the hospital experience, discuss discharge planning and more with the Orthopedic Nurse Navigator, a representative from Physical Therapy, and a representative from Care Management. Class attendance is arranged by the surgery scheduler within your surgeon’s office and generally takes place during the week prior to surgery.
