Pardee is now offering the COVID-19 vaccine at select urgent care locations. Walk-in’s will not be accepted for vaccines only, so we ask that you schedule an appointment using the online scheduling tool below. Online scheduling is for the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine only.

Pfizer or Moderna Appointments (2 dose vaccines)

The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are an mRNA vaccine. These vaccines require two doses to complete immunization. It is common for vaccines to require two doses. During your appointment for your first dose, you will schedule your appointment for the second dose at the same clinic location. Learn more about how these vaccines work. Note: Online scheduling is for the Pfizer or Moderna dose only.

Johnson & Johnson Appointments (1 dose vaccine)

We are unable to schedule online appointments for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at this time. If you are interested in receiving a Johnson & Johnson vaccine, please email your name and phone number here. Someone from Pardee Urgent Care will contact you when an appointment for Johnson & Johnson becomes available.

Rescheduling Appointments

  • Online: If you logged into My UNC Chart at the time of scheduling your appointment, you can reschedule your appointment through My UNC Chart. Please go to www.myuncchart.org. Once you log in, please do not cancel your appointment. Click the reschedule button to reschedule electronically at the location where you are scheduled at and select the date/time that is convenient for you.
  • By Phone: Please call the urgent care location where your appointment is scheduled to reschedule your appointment.

COVID-19 Vaccines at a Glance

There are different vaccines available to prevent COVID-19. Each has been found to be safe and effective. Based on clinical trials data, here are differences between them. The goal of any vaccine is to keep you from getting very sick and needing to go to the hospital or dying. All three COVID-19 vaccines – Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson – have been tested and have proven they achieve this goal.

Moderna

• Requires 2 shots
• Second shot is given 4 weeks after the first
• Authorized for age 18 or older
• In large clinical trial
     o 94% effective in preventing people becoming sick with COVID-19
     o Nearly 100% in preventing severe COVID-19, hospitalizations, and death
• Severe allergic reactions are very rare
• Protects against new Britain variant of the virus and lab tests predict that it protects against new variants of the virus

Pfizer

• Requires 2 shots
• Second shot is given 3 weeks after the first
• Authorized for age 12 or older
• In large clinical trial
     o 95% effective in preventing people becoming sick with COVID-19
     o 89% in preventing severe COVID-19
     o Nearly 100% effective in preventing, hospitalizations and death
• Severe allergic reactions are very rare
• Protects against new Britain variant of the virus and lab tests predict that it protects against new variants of the virus

Johnson & Johnson

• Requires 1 shot
• Authorized for age 18 or older
• In large clinical trial
     o 66% effective in preventing people becoming sick with COVID-19
     o 84% in preventing severe COVID-19
     o 100% effective in preventing, hospitalizations and death
• Protects against new Britain variant of the virus and effective against new variants from Brazil and South Africa
• Lower risk of severe side effects that interfere with daily activities
