Your heart can’t wait to be healthy. Eating well, staying active, reducing stress, and scheduling regular screenings are keys to a heart-healthy lifestyle. Join our simple 28-day challenge to make small steps towards big changes in protecting your heart. Check off one a day:
☐ Include another serving (about one cup) of vegetables at dinner.
☐ Invite a friend to exercise with you.
☐ Head to bed with enough time to get a full eight hours of sleep.
☐ Learn your body mass index by using our BMI calculator.
☐ Schedule your annual physical. Find a physician
☐ Swap dessert for a piece of fruit.
☐ Reduce stress by playing with your pet.
☐ Learn hands-only CPR. It’s two steps to save a life. Learn more
☐ Use the stairs, park further away, or take a short walk at lunch.
☐ Add healthy fats, like nuts or avocado, to your diet.
☐ Lessen stress: share a laugh with someone.
☐ March in place for 3 minutes.
☐ Choose a healthy snack with less than 200 mg of sodium per serving.
☐ Perform a random act of kindness today.
☐ Get your cholesterol tested.
☐ Take the step to stop smoking, or support a friend. Learn how
☐ Drop and give me ten push-ups!
☐ Ask a few relatives about your family health history.
☐ Try going meatless for a day, eating plant-based proteins and nutrients.
☐ Draw, color, or paint a picture to reduce stress.

Hearts Can’t Wait Social Media Contest

For the duration of the contest, Facebook users post photo(s) or video(s) relevant to each week’s specially selected challenge. The post must include the hashtag #heartscantwait.
There will be a total of five (5) specially selected challenges for the duration of the contest.
The contest will be announced at 9am on the selected day and will last until midnight of the same day.
Participants will be pooled each week and a winner will be selected at random. Each week’s winner and photo/video will be posted to the Pardee Hospital Facebook account on Fridays.
Contest duration is February 1, 2018 through February 28, 2018 at midnight EST.
